Pencil is boring

Since I discovered pastel and crayons, I really think pencil is the most boring medium to do drawings. Even black markers, pens, ink or even guoache is more interesting. Another fav of mine: black scrapperboard (or whatever its name is hihi). Will upload some work.
Do you have any recommondations what to use instead of pencils? Or share your thoughts about it!

Just became a member and try to figure out how this website works ;)
I gave up drawing 9 years ago because of an unpleasent experience with a art school in Switzerland. Now, I'm doing a graphic design course in Australia where we have drawing classes. I discovered my love for drawing again and try to do some nice artwork. Hope you like it feedbacks are more than welcome and important to me as I want to improve.
